A SHOW PRESENTED BY PALETTE ART GALLERY NEW DELHI AND ART D' INOX.

When a gallery throws its walls open to art on 14 February, the message is clear... expect from the Palette Art Gallery a celebration of life and creativity, of hope and talent.

Palette Art Gallery at their minimalist modern space overlooking the verdure of Delhi Golf course is abuzz with its latest show titled METALLIC. The venue, throws open two courtyards for installations, and a substantial gallery space given a special dimension by natural light streaming in from the skylight.

Beginning on the 16th of October- 7 pm onwards, the participants include a list that celebrates the festive season. In alphabetical order, they include Arpana Caur, Chittravanu Majumdar, G R Iranna, Himmat Shah, Justin Ponmany, Mona Rai and Vasundhara Tewari Broota.

The show gets its name from the media used by all the participants including metallic paint, silver foil or metallic holograms in their works. For instance, Himmat Shah, one of the country's senior most sculptors, has created, just for this show, a head in bronze.

Each one of the exhibits has been created exclusively for the show, Metallic at Palette Art Gallery .

Jointly presented by the Palette Art Gallery and Art D' Inox, a lifestyle product division of Jindal Stainless limited, the evening of 16th of October will come alive with a mix of artists, collectors, curators and art aficionados while joint hosts Deepika Jindal, Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna showcase their deep interest in art through this show.

Deepika Jindal - Chairperson Art D' Inox,  has impeccable credentials as art curator since she links her innate creativity with a hugely successful endeavour to present stainless steel in an attractive avatar , artd'inox,  a very popular lifestyle products brand . Moreover, her experience with the family concern, Jindal Steel's long-term commitment with art promotions, stands her in great stead curating this show.

She joins Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna who bring to art their creativity as two of the most respected Indian designers and acknowledged collectors of art. This distinguished team has great faith in the present and future of Indian contemporary art and is here to give the art scene their support. Beginning four years ago at their gallery space at Ambawata Complex with their first art show that is among their most memorable milestones, the latest showing is a landmark not just on the Indian art horizon but has international import. To them, "Fashion is literally an art work that has moved out of a canvas and stepped into the backdrop of real life."

Each participant has been selected with utmost care since Indian art contemporary is finally getting its due place in the international sun, touching record figures at respected auctions such as Christie's and Sothbey's.
